JAKARTA – Former Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Antasari Azhar, passed away on Saturday (November 8, 2025). Antasari Azhar passed away at 10:57 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB). He died at the age of 72.
The sad news was also conveyed by the former Chairman of the Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum.
“We accompany Mr. Antasari Azhar with prayers for his return to the bosom of the Creator. Husnul hayat wa husnul khatimah. May he rest in peace,” Anas wrote on his official X account.
The plan is for Antasari Azhar to be buried at the Asy-Syarif Mosque in BSD, Banten, after the Asr prayer. The body will then be transported to San Diego Hills for burial this afternoon.
